Uchiko is a town located in Kita District, Ehime Prefecture, Japan.On January 1, 2005 the town of Ikazaki, from Kita District; and the town of Oda, from Kamiukena District, were merged into Uchiko.As of April 1, 2017 (after this merger), the town has an estimated population of 16,172 and a density of 54 persons per km². Get in touch with nature at Namekawakeikoku and Izumidani Terraces. Discover out-of-the-way places like Yuge Shrine and Shussekiji Temple. Venture out of the city with trips to Shirai Fall (in Toon), Shikoku Karst Onogahara (in Seiyo) and Nametoko Valley (in Uwajima). There's much more to do: appreciate the extensive heritage of Iyo Ozu Sukunahikona Shrine, don't miss a visit to Michi-no-Eki Odanosato Seseragi, head off the coast to Ao Island, and appreciate the views at Omogo Valley.
