Ponta Delgada

As the busy capital of São Miguel, Ponta Delgada represents the most visited place on the island. Known for its historical buildings, the city offers 17th- and 18th-century convents and churches, as well as cobbled pedestrian streets and hidden squares.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Arruda Pineapple Plantation, Portas da Cidade, Lagoa do Canario, and other attractions you added. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 30th (Fri): head outdoors with Lagoa do Congro, explore the activities along Furnas, take some stellar pictures from Viewpoint of Ponta da Madrugada, then make a trip to Miradouro da Ponta do Sossego, then visit a coastal fixture at Farol do Arnel, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeiroes.

Green Island
Known as The Green Island, Sao Miguel is the largest of the nine islands of Azores and is considered a natural paradise. These islands were discovered in the 15th century and, according to myth, are reputed to be part of the lost empire of Atlantis. Sao Miguel's most prominent feature is a set of twin lakes, one of which is blue and the other green. Visitors also enjoy the island's park, golf courses, beaches, mountains, marina, and ocean views. Stop for a look at the city's monuments and architecture, and experience the cobbled streets lined with a variety of restaurants, shops, bars, and cafes.
