New Delhi to Sohra is an approximately 6.5-hour combination of flight and taxi. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and taxi. Cap off your sightseeing on the 23rd (Tue) early enough to go by car to Shillong.

Established as the capital of Assam by the British, the hill station of Shillong today serves as the capital of Meghalaya, created in 1972.
On the 24th (Wed), examine the collection at Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures, explore the activities along Umiam Lake, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of The Grand Madina Masjid. On the 25th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: don't miss a visit to Shillong View Point and then take in the dramatic scenery at Elephant Falls.
