Paris of the North

Often referred to as "The Paris of the North," Riga offers thriving nightlife and some of the best collections of Art Nouveau architecture in Europe.
Kick off your visit on the 4th (Fri): learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Riga Zoo, then steep yourself in history at Latvian Ethnographic Open Air Museum, and then take an in-depth tour of Latvijas Okupācijas muzejs. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Nativity of Christ Cathedral, get engrossed in the history at National History Museum of Latvia, and then take in nature's colorful creations at Vermanes Garden.

On the 6th (Sun), admire the natural beauty at Latgale Zoological Garden, then walk around Dubrovin Park, and then take in the exciting artwork at Gallery Bunkurs.
