Kick off your visit on the 11th (Mon): make a trip to Sengan-en, then get answers to all your questions at Sakurajima Visitor Center, and then contemplate the geological forces at Sakurajima. Keep things going the next day: pause for some photo ops at Saigo Takamori Statue, enjoy breathtaking views from Shiroyama Observatory, get engrossed in the history at Museum of the Meiji Restoration, then learn about all things military at Chiran Peace Museum, and finally don't miss a visit to Kagoshima Chuo Station.
