Doolin ©
A world-famous center of traditional Irish music, Doolin occupies a dramatic location on Ireland's windblown Atlantic coast.
Venture out of the city with trips to Dromoland Castle (in Newmarket-on-Fergus), Ballyvaughan (Burren Birds of Prey Centre & Aillwee Cave) and Ennis Friary (in Ennis). And it doesn't end there: Head underground at Doolin Cave, step into the grandiose world of Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, relax in the rural setting at Moher Hill Open Farm and Leisure Park, and see the interesting displays at Clare Heritage and Genealogical Centre.

To find maps, reviews, where to stay, and more tourist information, you can read our Doolin trip planner.

Dublin to Doolin is an approximately 3-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of train and taxi; or take a bus. In August, plan for daily highs up to 21°C, and evening lows to 14°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive back home.
