Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Boulder is a busy college town known for its progressive values and natural resource conservation.
Popular historic sites such as Wild Basin Area and Chapel on the Rock are in your itinerary. Get outdoors at Mount Sanitas Trail and Valmont Bike Park. Explore Boulder's surroundings by going to Rocky Mountain National Park (Calypso Cascades & Ouzel Falls), Devil's Backbone Trail (in Loveland) and Summit Lake Park (in Idaho Springs). Next up on the itinerary: take a peaceful walk through Arapaho National Forest, identify plant and animal life at Cathy Fromme Prairie Natural Area, indulge your thirst for a good beer at Avery Brewing Company, and stroll through Mesa Trail.

For photos, more things to do, maps, and more tourist information, you can read our Boulder trip app.

The Route module shows you all the different ways you can get to Boulder. In June, plan for daily highs up to 83°F, and evening lows to 56°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Tue) so you can go by car back home.
