City of Angels

Recognized as a World Heritage Site thanks to its photogenic colonial buildings, Puebla remains one of Mexico's top destinations for architecture enthusiasts.
Get out of town with these interesting Puebla side-trips: Tlaxcala (Tizatlan Archeological Site, Basilica de Nuestra Senora de Ocotlan, &more), San Pedro Cholula (Zona Arqueológica de Cholula, Plaza de la Concordia, &more) and San Andres Cholula (Tonantzintla & Museo Regional de Cholula). Spend the 16th (Fri) exploring nature at Iztaccihuatl and Popocatepetl National Park. Spend the 25th (Sun) exploring the gorgeous surroundings at Balnearo Ejidal El Bosque. The adventure continues: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Puebla Cathedra, get to know the resident critters at Africam Safari, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Rosary Chapel (Capilla del Rosario), and get lost in a book at Biblioteca Palafoxiana.

To find where to stay, other places to visit, and other tourist information, you can read our Puebla road trip tool.
