Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Fort William: Highland Titles Nature Reserve (in Duror), Roybridge (Glen Roy National Nature Reserve, Tulloch Farm, & more) and Oban (McCaig's Tower & Oban Distillery). There's lots more to do: trek along Devil's Staircase, enjoy some diversion at Ice Factor, look for all kinds of wild species at Glencoe Lochan, and stroll through Lost Valley Trail.
