Saitama

— 37 nights
Though a fairly large city in its own right, Saitama has become known primarily for its proximity to the capital, Tokyo.
Museum-lovers will get to explore The Omiya Bonsai Art Museum Saitama and Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum. Get some cultural insight at Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine and Kasama Kirara Museum. Venture out of the city with trips to Musashino Place (in Musashino), Ghibli Museum Mitaka (in Mitaka) and Seiryu-ji Fudoin Temple (in Wako). There's much more to do: travel the rails with The Railway Museum, buy something for everyone on your list at Sano Premium Outlet, take a stroll through Omiya Bonsai Village, and contemplate the long history of Yayoi Habitation site.
