Crossroads of Europe

Strasbourg is famous for its beautiful historical center, the Grande Île, which was the first city center classified entirely as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Strasbourg is one of the nine largest cities in France with nearly half a million inhabitants in the metropolitan area crossing the river to the German city of Kehl, on the eastern bank of the Rhine River.
Step off the beaten path and head to Centre-ville de Strasbourg and Museum Œuvre Notre-Dame. Get out of town with these interesting Strasbourg side-trips: Kintzheim (La Volerie des Aigles & La Montagne des Singes), Colmar (Old Town, Little Venice, &more) and Vieille Ville de Turckheim (in Turckheim). And it doesn't end there: steep yourself in history at La Neustadt, wander the streets of La Petite France, admire the landmark architecture of Place de la Republique, and stroll around Parc du Chateau de Pourtales.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Strasbourg Airport and Metz-Nancy-Lorraine Airport. Expect a daytime high around 29°C in June, and nighttime lows around 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
