Tavira has succeeded at escaping the flood of tourism that has affected other coastal Portuguese towns over the years.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Faro Cathedral and Old Town Faro. Step off the beaten path and head to Dolphin & Whale Watching and Praia de Monte Gordo. There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Cabanas de Tavira beach, stroll through Praia do Barril, pick up some local products at Mercado Municipal de Loulé (Desde 1908), and head off the coast to Tavira Island.

Fátima is a civil parish in the municipality of Ourém, in the Portuguese Santarém District. Visiting Baleal Beach and Praia da Nazare will get you outdoors.
