Gaeta is a city and comune in the province of Latina, in Lazio, central Italy. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Gaeta: Comune di Pacentro (in Pacentro), Terracina (Sanctuary of Giove Anxur, Sun Beach, &more) and Centro Storico di Sulmona (in Sulmona). Start off your visit on the 22nd (Sun): explore the ancient world of Colosseum. You can take a train from Gaeta to Rome in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. In September in Rome, expect temperatures between 32°C during the day and 18°C at night. You will have some time to spend on the 24th (Tue) before leaving for home.
