Makarska, Croatia

Makarska is a small city on the Adriatic coastline of Croatia, about 60km southeast of Split and 140km northwest of Dubrovnik. Popular historic sites such as Cathedral of Saint Domnius and Sveti Patar are in your itinerary. Get outdoors at River Rafting & Tubing and Nugal Beach. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Makarska: Split (Marjan Park & Speed Boats Tours). There's lots more to do: stroll through Punta Rata Beach, look for all kinds of wild species at Park suma Osejava, take an in-depth tour of Muzej Riba i Rakova, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Sveti Marko.

An hour boat ride from Split on the island of Brac, Bol boasts a charming old town, pebble beach, and great windsurfing conditions. Historical charm abounds here in the form of stone houses, narrow pedestrian streets, and historical attractions marked with panels.
Supetar cemetery and Dominican Monastery will appeal to history buffs. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Sumartin Beach and Zlatni Rat Beach (Golden Horn). Explore Bol's surroundings by going to Supetar (Supetar Bay & Parish church complex) and Wine Tasting Brac & Olive Oil Brac (in Nerezisca).
