Fuji is a city in eastern Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. You'll explore and learn at Shizuoka City Serizawa Keisuke Art Museum and Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art. Take a break from the city and head to Miho Seacoast (Miho no Matsubara Beach) and Shiraito Falls. Explore Fuji's surroundings by going to Gotemba Premium Outlets (in Gotemba), Yaizu Sakana Center (in Yaizu) and Shizuoka (Miho Shrine, Shizuoka Sengen Shrine, &more). Jakarta, Indonesia to Fuji is an approximately 13.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 2 hours traveling from Jakarta to Fuji. Traveling from Jakarta in January, expect Fuji to be colder, temps between 10°C and 5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Thu) early enough to travel to Shimoda.

On a trip to Shimoda, a small town nestled on the tip of the Izu peninsula, you can take advantage of the scenic sandy beaches and soak in the laid-back atmosphere.
Murakami Gasshozukuri Mingeikan and Perry Road will appeal to history buffs. Get in touch with nature at Tsumekizaki and Iritahama Beach. Traveling by car from Fuji to Shimoda takes 2 hours. In January, plan for daily highs up to 11°C, and evening lows to 7°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Fri) early enough to go by car to Hamamatsu.

Traveling by car from Shimoda to Hamamatsu takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train. In January, daily temperatures in Hamamatsu can reach 10°C, while at night they dip to 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Sun) so you can take a train to Atami.

With Atami's relative proximity to the nation's capital, this beach resort town draws its fair share of visitors--though holidays in Atami are not just a matter of convenience.
Escape the urban bustle at Wasabi Fields of Ikadaba and Mount Omuro. Kinomiya Shrine and Kiunkaku are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You can take a train from Hamamatsu to Atami in 2 hours. Another option is to drive. Prepare for little chillier weather when traveling from Hamamatsu in February: high temperatures in Atami hover around 5°C and lows are around 2°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Mon) to allow time to travel back home.
