Kotor
Perched on the edge of a fjord-like bay rimmed by rugged mountains, Kotor grew around a medieval settlement purposely built like a maze.
Get out of town with these interesting Kotor side-trips: Becici Beach (in Becici), Herceg-Novi (Mamula Fortress, Blue Grotto, & more) and Milocher Park (in Sveti Stefan). There's still lots to do: explore the activities along Bay of Kotor, admire the landmark architecture of Piazza of the arms, take in the waterfront at Porto Montenegro, and appreciate the extensive heritage of City Walls.
