Takachiho-cho

The mountain town of Takachiho-cho remains a place of great importance to Japan's spiritual and natural heritage, and the point where these two things intersect.
Get a sense of the local culture at Amano Iwato Shrine and Amano Yasugawara. Escape the urban bustle at Takachiho Gorge and Tokubetsuto Rice Terraces. Venture out of the city with trips to Gokase-cho (Unokono-taki, Josenji Temple, &more).
