Nida is a resort town in Lithuania, the administrative centre of Neringa municipality. Kick off your visit on the 15th (Mon): examine the collection at Lithuanian Sea Museum and then explore the striking landscape of Curonian Spit National Park. Here are some ideas for day two: make a trip to Promedane of Nida, then get outside with Raganu Kalnas (Hill of Witches), and then contemplate the waterfront views at Nemunas River Delta Regional Park.

You'll find plenty of places to visit near Palanga: Plateliai (Zemaitija National Park & Cold War Museum), Klaipeda (Kayaking & Canoeing, Klaipeda Old City, & more) and Vente Cape (in Silute). Šiauliai is the fourth largest city in Lithuania, with a population of 133,900. Get out of town with these interesting Siauliai side-trips: Senvage (in Panevezys), Telsiai (Mastis Lake & Telsiai Cathedral) and Pakruojis Manor Living Museum (in Pakruojis). There's much more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Hill of Crosses - Kryziu Kalnas, make a trip to Chaimas Frenkelis Vila, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. George's Church, and see the interesting displays at Ruta Sokolado Muziejus.

Situated between the Neris and Nemunas rivers, Kaunas is known for its old town, which, though smaller than the capital's, is in much better condition.
Step out of Kaunas to go to Pilis and see Panemunes Castle, which is approximately 1h 20 min away. Next up on the itinerary: explore the historical opulence of Kaunas Castle, get engrossed in the history at Rumsiskes Open-Air Museum, steep yourself in history at Ninth Fort, and take a stroll through Laisves aleja (Liberty Boulevard).
