Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Togakushi Shrine Okusha. Explore hidden gems such as Memorial Warships Mikasa and Gongendo Sakura Tsutsumi. Get outdoors at Mt. If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major aiports are Tokyo Haneda International Airport, Narita International Airport and Ibaraki Airport / JASDF Hyakuri Air Base. In March in Tokyo, expect temperatures between 17°C during the day and 7°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Wed) early enough to travel to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Keep things going the next day: explore the world behind art at Miho Museum, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mii-dera Temple (Onjo-ji Temple), then steep yourself in history at Keage Incline, and finally relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.

You can take a train from Tokyo to Kyoto in 3.5 hours. Other options are to fly; or drive. In April, daily temperatures in Kyoto can reach 22°C, while at night they dip to 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Fri) to allow time to drive to Takayama.

You can drive from Kyoto to Takayama in 3.5 hours. Other options are to take a train; or take a bus. In April, daytime highs in Takayama are 20°C, while nighttime lows are 9°C. On the 13th (Mon), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel to Yakushima-cho.

A popular destination for Japanese tourists, Kumage-gun Yakushima-cho is a true paradise for nature lovers, with over 1,900 species and subspecies of plants.
You've now added Oko no Taki Fall to your itinerary. Start off your visit on the 14th (Tue): take in the dramatic scenery at Janokuchinotaki Falls and then take in the dramatic scenery at Oko no Taki Fall.
