Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Take a break from the city and head to Mount Wellington and Ratho Golf Course. Museum-lovers will get to explore Museum of Old and New Art (Mona) and Mawson's Hut Replica Museum. Explore Hobart's surroundings by going to Opossum Bay Beach (in Opossum Bay), Cockle Creek (in Southport) and Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary (in Brighton). Penguin is a town on the north-west coast of Tasmania, Australia. Take a break from the city and head to Boat Harbour Beach and The Nut State Reserve.
