The city of Suwon lies close to the country's capital, and brings in visitors on day trips, mainly to see its old city walls.
Hwaseong Fortress and Paldalmun Gate are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll explore and learn at Samsung Innovation Museum and Suwon IPark Museum of Art. Change things up with a short trip to Mirinae Holy Site in Anseong (about 56 minutes away).
