Inverness, often described as the Gateway to the Highlands, is a thriving commercial and industrial center.
Step out of the city life by going to Brora Beach and Rosemarkie Beach. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Dornoch Beach and Loch Morlich. Change things up with these side-trips from Inverness: Royal Dornoch Golf Club (in Dornoch), Rogie Falls (in Contin) and Embo Beach (in Embo). Spend the 3rd (Tue) exploring nature at Cairngorms National Park.
