Åre is a locality and one of the leading Scandinavian ski resorts situated in Åre Municipality, Jämtland County, Sweden with 1,417 inhabitants in 2010. Discover out-of-the-way places like Tannforsen and Are Chokladfabrik. Go for a jaunt from Are to Orrviken to see Moose Garden about 1h 20 min away. Sweden's northernmost city, Kiruna remains best known for its proximity to the world's first hotel-museum built entirely of snow and ice.
