The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Head to Dongmun Market and The Islanderfor plenty of shopping. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Jeju: Seogwipo (Seongsan Ilchulbong, Gwangchigi Beach, &more). There's much more to do: step off the mainland to explore Udo, explore the world behind art at Jeju Folk Museum, take in nature's colorful creations at Hallim Park, and kick back and relax at Gwakji Gwamul Beach.

For shopping fun, head to Seomun Market or Shinsegae Department Store Daegu. Change things up with these side-trips from Daegu: Gatbawi (in Gyeongsan), Goryeong Daegaya Historic Site (in Goryeong-gun) and Upo Wetland (in Changnyeong-gun).
