One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Seoul: Hwaseong Fortress (in Suwon), DMZ Haemaru Village (in Paju) and Nami Island (in Chuncheon). Pack the 8th (Wed) with family-friendly diversions at Korean Folk Village. There's lots more to do: enjoy breathtaking views from N Seoul Tower, don't miss a visit to Insadong, wander the streets of Myeongdong Shopping Street, and take an in-depth tour of National Museum of Korea.

Atlanta, USA to Seoul is an approximately 18- hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of bus and flight. Traveling from Atlanta to Seoul, you'll lose 14 hours due to the time zone difference. The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Start off your visit on the 11th (Sat): get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium, head outdoors with Haeundae Beach, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haedong Yonggung Temple, and finally take in the views from Gwangandaegyo Bridge. Traveling by combination of train, flight, and subway from Seoul to Busan takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. In July in Busan, expect temperatures between 84°F during the day and 73°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Sun) early enough to travel to Jeju.

The fourth-largest city in South Korea, Daegu sprawls out across a wide, flat valley overlooked by a sacred Buddhist mountain.
Start off your visit on the 18th (Sat): take in the spiritual surroundings of Haeinsa, don't miss a visit to The Arc, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Donghwasa.
