Denver, USA to Hiroshima is an approximately 19-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 16 hours traveling from Denver to Hiroshima. Expect somewhat warmer evenings in Hiroshima when traveling from Denver in July, with lows around 76°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 7th (Tue) so you can catch the train to Himeji.

Explore Himeji's surroundings by going to Tendaki Falls (in Yabu), Kurashiki (Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, Ohara Museum of Art, & more) and Okayama Korakuen Garden (in Okayama). Take a train from Hiroshima to Himeji in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train. In July, daily temperatures in Himeji can reach 83°F, while at night they dip to 77°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Sat) early enough to take a train to Kyoto.

Take a train from Himeji to Kyoto in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. While traveling from Himeji, expect somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Kyoto, ranging from highs of 89°F to lows of 76°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Thu) to allow enough time to take a train to Kanazawa.
