Shop till you drop at Solola Market and Ketzali Accessories. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Xocomil and Climbing Tours. Venture out of the city with trips to Tzantizotz Nature Reserve (in Santa Cruz La Laguna), Chichi Cemetery (in Chichicastenango) and Fuentes Georginas (in Zunil). The adventure continues: find something for the whole family at Xetulul Theme Park, take in the architecture and atmosphere at La Ermita de la Concepcion (La Conquistadora), contemplate the waterfront views at Laguna Chicabal, and don't miss a visit to Central Plaza.

An island town, capital of the landlocked region of Peten, attractive Flores features pleasant architecture that complements the shimmering appearance of the surrounding lake.
Step off the beaten path and head to Cultural Triangle Yaxha-Nakum-Naranjo National Park and Ixpanpajul Nature Park. When in Flores, make a side trip to see Tikal in Tikal National Park, approximately 1h 15 min away.
