Albany

— 30 nights
Founded as a military outpostĀ in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Explore Albany's surroundings by going to Duke's Vineyard (in Porongurup), Porongurup National Park (Devils Slide, Granite Skywalk,Castle Rock, &more) and Denmark (Rockcliffe, Rising Star Winery, &more). Spend the 31st (Mon) exploring nature at Mount Frankland National Park. Next up on the itinerary: see the interesting displays at National Anzac Centre, stroll through Little Beach, take a tour of Replica of the Brig Amity, and enjoy the sand and surf at Emu Point.

For more things to do, where to stay, photos, and other tourist information, go to the Albany day trip planning website.

Expect a daytime high around 29°C in January, and nighttime lows around 16°C.
