Located at the center of Yamaguchi Prefecture, the regional capital of Yamaguchi is renowned for its temples and shrines.
Visiting Kiwa Ra Beach and Miyajima will get you outdoors. We've included these beaches for you: Kirara Beach Yakeno and Nijigahama Beach. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Yamaguchi: Mine (Beppu Bentenike, Akiyoshidai Observation Trail, & more), Ube Coastal Road (in Ube) and Hatsukaichi (Senjokaku, Gojuno To, & more). There's lots more to do: don't miss a visit to Ruriko Temple Five-Story Pagoda, explore the stunning scenery at Chomonkyo Gorge, get outside with Ishin One Hundres Year Memeorial Park, and enjoy the sand and surf at Mochiishi Seacoast.

If you are flying in from Finland, the closest major airports are Fukuoka Airport, Hiroshima Airport and Okayama Airport. In June, plan for daily highs up to 28°C, and evening lows to 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
