Taipei Confucius Temple and Chiufen (Jiufen Old Street) will appeal to history buffs. Step out of the city life by going to Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area and Meihua Lake. Pingtung

Mostly serving as a base for exploring Kenting National Park, Pingtung enjoys a pleasant, subtropical climate, sandy beaches, and a friendly atmosphere.
Visit Confucius Temple and Anping Fort (Anping gubao) for their historical value. Museum-lovers will get to explore National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium and Chimei Museum. Explore Pingtung's surroundings by going to National Museum of Taiwan History (in Annan), West Central District (Da Tian Hou Gong & Chihkan Tower (Fort Provintia)) and Anping Tree House (in Anping).
