Chuncheon

The capital of the country's northernmost province, the city of Chuncheon acts a gateway to the wilder sights of the rural region.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Mon): head off the coast to Nami Island and then head off the coast to Jarasum Island. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the natural beauty of World Oncheon, take in the spiritual surroundings of Cheongpyeongsa, and then wander the streets of Chuncheon Myeongdong Dakgalbi Street.

Drive from Seoul to Chuncheon in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a subway. In April, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Tue) so you can travel to Mungyeong.

Gwangju

You can fly from Jeju to Gwangju in 2.5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of ferry and taxi; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train. In April, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 19°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Gyeongju.
