Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 10 hours traveling from Melbourne to Coimbra. Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.Change things up with a short trip to Pena Aventura Park in Ribeira de Pena (about 1h 20 min away). The adventure continues: snap pictures at Ponte de Dom Luis I, make a trip to Liberdade Square, browse the collection at Livraria Lello, and awaken your taste buds at some of the top wineries in the area.
