The most well-known city in the Algarve, Faro boasts a cliffside location with popular beaches and a thriving cultural scene.You'll find plenty of places to visit near Faro: Caramelo Beach Club (in Vila Real de Santo Antonio), Trafal Beach (in Quarteira) and Tavira (Costabeach Tavira Island and Tours, Tavira Island, & more). The adventure continues: kick back and relax at Cape St. Mary, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora do Rosario, stroll around Ria Formosa, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Cabanas de Tavira beach.

Toronto, Canada to Faro is an approximately 10.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of ferry and flight. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Western European Time, which is usually a 5 hour difference.
