Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
When in Venice, make a side trip to see Scrovegni Chapel in Padua, approximately Padua away. There's much more to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Canal Grande, take in the views from Ponte di Rialto, admire the masterpieces at Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and don't miss a visit to Piazza San Marco.

Vancouver, Canada to Venice is an approximately 15.5- hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of flight and shuttle. The time zone difference moving from Pacific Standard Time to Central European Standard Time is 9 hours.
