Montevideo, Uruguay to Kyoto is an approximately 33-hour flight. The time zone changes from Uruguay Standard Time to Japan Standard Time, which is usually a 12 hour difference. Prepare for a bit warmer weather when traveling from Montevideo in May: high temperatures in Kyoto hover around 29°C and lows are around 17°C. You can take a train from Kyoto to Himeji in 1.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. While traveling from Kyoto, expect slightly colder days and about the same nights in Himeji, ranging from highs of 25°C to lows of 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Mon) so you can take a train to Hiroshima.
