Genoa

— 29 nights
Once the most important harbor in the Mediterranean Sea, Genoa has a long history as a rich and powerful trade center in northern Italy.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Castello di Vigoleno and D'Albertis Castle. Get a sense of the local culture at Boccadasse and Centro Storico del Paese di Tellaro. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Genoa: Porto Venere (Portovenere, Isola Palmaria, &more), Tellaro (Chiesa di San Giorgio & Chiesa di Santa Maria Stella Maris) and Cantine Lunae (in Colombiera-Molicciara). There's much more to do: examine the collection at Musei di Strada Nuova - Palazzo Rosso, step into the grandiose world of Castello di Bardi, admire the landmark architecture of Musei di Strada Nuova - Palazzo Bianco, and pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica della Santissima Annunziata del Vastato.
