As one of the anchoring cities of the beautiful Basque Country, San Sebastián boasts a trendy, cosmopolitan vibe while still harboring a relaxed, coastal charm.
Step off the beaten path and head to San Telmo Museoa and Plaza de la Constitucion. Venture out of the city with trips to Historic Center of Hondarribia (in Hondarribia) and Getaria (Iglesia de San Salvador & Cristobal Balenciaga Museum). Dedicate the 12th (Mon) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Zurriola Beach, stroll through Ondarreta Beach, see the sky in a new way at Eureka! Kortezubi is a town and municipality located in the province of Biscay, in the autonomous community of Basque Country, northern Spain. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Urdaibai Bird Center and Gorbeiako Parke Naturala. Get out of town with these interesting Kortezubi side-trips: Parketxea Centro de interpretacion del Parque Natural de Gorbeia (in Areatza), Museo de la Industria Armera. Eibar (in Eibar) and Onati (Universidad de Sancti Spiritus desde la Oficina de Turismo de Onati & Santuario de Aranzazu). The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at Museo de la Paz de Guernica, get a sense of history and politics at Casa de Juntas, explore the striking landscape at San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, and admire nature's extreme beauty at Basilica de Lekeitio.

Leza is a town and municipality located in the province of Álava, in the Basque Country, northern Spain. Step off the beaten path and head to Bodega Casa Primicia and Iglesia de Santa Maria de los Reyes. Explore Leza's surroundings by going to Salt Valley (in Salinas de Anana), Castillo de Portilla (in Portilla) and Vitoria-Gasteiz (Anillo Verde, Catedral de Maria Inmaculada, &more). There's still lots to do: learn about winemaking at Bodegas Campillo, head outdoors with Parque Natural de Izki, and see the interesting displays at Bodegas Valdelana.
