Lisieux is a town in Lower Normandy that is the second-most visited pilgrimage site in France (after Lourdes).
Saint Catherine's Catholic Church and Chateau Guillaume-le-Conquerant will appeal to history buffs. Get out of town with these interesting Ville de Lisieux side-trips: Eglise Abbatiale de Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives (in Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives), Ranville (Pegasus Memorial & Pegasus Bridge) and Musee Alfred Canel (in Pont-Audemer). There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Vieux Bassin, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Notre Dame de Grace, snap pictures at Pont de Normandie, and step into the grandiose world of Chateau de Saint-Germain-de-Livet.

To find where to stay, photos, more things to do, and other tourist information, use the Ville de Lisieux trip itinerary planner.

If you are flying in from Brazil, the closest major aiports are Paris-Orly Airport, Paris Beauvais Tillé Airport and Deauville-Saint-Gatien Airport. In July, plan for daily highs up to °C, and evening lows to °C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Mon) to allow time to travel back home.
