Sapphire is an unincorporated community in Transylvania County, North Carolina, United States. Step off the beaten path and head to Skinny Dip Falls and Horsepasture River and Nature Trails. Take a break from the city and head to Station Cove Falls and Lake Glenville. Change things up with these side-trips from Sapphire: Devil's Courthouse (in Pisgah Forest), Oconee Station State Historic Site (in Walhalla) and Courthouse Falls (in Rosman). There's lots more to do: admire the sheer force of King Creek Falls, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Sunset Rock and Ravenel Park, and stroll through Sapphire Valley Ski Resort.

Take the guesswork out of planning a Sapphire vacation by using our trip itinerary maker.

Enon to Sapphire is an approximately 8-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of car and flight. Expect a bit warmer weather when traveling from Enon in May: highs in Sapphire hover around °F, while lows dip to °F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 25th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
