Resting on the northern coast of Philip Island, Cowes is sandwiched between a coast and a forest.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Wed): identify plant and animal life at Phillip Island Wildlife Park, step off the mainland to explore Koala Conservation Centre, then find something for the whole family at A Maze'N Things, and finally head off the coast to Churchill Island. Here are some ideas for day two: get up close to creatures of the deep with Wildlife Coast Cruises, then learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at The Nobbies Centre, then learn about all things military at National Vietnam Veterans Museum, and finally explore the fascinating underground world of Forrest Caves.
