Pamplona or Iruña is the historical capital city of Navarre, in Spain, and of the former Kingdom of Navarre. The city is famous worldwide for the running of the bulls during the San Fermín festival, which is held annually from July 6 to 14. Get out of town with these interesting Pamplona side-trips: Catedral de Santa Maria (in Vitoria-Gasteiz), Palacio Real de Olite (in Olite) and Logrono (Wine Tours & Tastings & Calle del Laurel). There's much more to do: admire the landmark architecture of Catedral de Pamplona, make a trip to Plaza del Castillo, brush up on your military savvy at Fortress and Walls of Pamplona, and test your team's savvy at popular escape rooms.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major airports are Bilbao Airport, Zaragoza Air Base and Santander Airport. In July, plan for daily highs up to 34°C, and evening lows to 18°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
