Mérida is the capital of the autonomous community of Extremadura, western central Spain. Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Merida Secreta, Museo Nacional de Arte Romano, Acueducto de los Milagros, and other attractions you added. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Castillo de Luna and Portico del Foro. Do some cultural sightseeing at Museo Vostell Malpartida and Casa Museo Arabe de Caceres Yussuf al Burch. Venture out of the city with trips to Plaza de San Jorge (in Caceres) and Iglesia de Santa Maria la Mayor (in Trujillo). There's much more to do: wander the streets of Casco Historico de Merida, don't miss a visit to Dolmen de Lacara, take an in-depth tour of Museo Arqueologico de Arte Visigodo, and pause for some photo ops at Arco de Trajano.
