Continuously inhabited since the Neolithic period, Killarney draws visitors with its picturesque natural scenery, fine restaurants, and traditional pubs.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Killarney National Park and Gap of Dunloe. Change things up with a short trip to Inch Beach in Inch (about 42 minutes away). There's much more to do: admire the sheer force of Torc Waterfall, step into the grandiose world of Ross Castle, head outdoors with Dingle Peninsula, and Head underground at Crag Cave.

For reviews, where to stay, maps, and more tourist information, go to the Killarney online journey planner.

If you are flying in from Germany, the closest major aiports are Cork Airport and Shannon Airport. Expect a daytime high around 20°C in August, and nighttime lows around 14°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 14th (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
