Colombo to Kekirawa is an approximately 4.5-hour car ride. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Anuradhapura.

Explore the well-preserved ruins of an ancient Sri Lankan civilization and its former capital at Anuradhapura, a World Heritage Site and erstwhile center of Theravada Buddhism set amidst peaceful green parks.

Kick off your visit on the 21st (Fri): admire the striking features of Ruwanwelisaya, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mihintale, then explore the fascinating underground world of Golden Temple of Dambulla, and finally snap pictures at Gal Palama (Stone Bridge) over Malwathu Oya. Keep things going the next day: don't miss a visit to Jethawanaramaya Dagoba, contemplate the waterfront views at Twin Baths (Kuttam Pokuna), then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Isurumuniya Temple.
