The fourth-largest city in South Korea, Daegu sprawls out across a wide, flat valley overlooked by a sacred Buddhist mountain.
Get some cultural insight at Andong Folk Village and Bullodong Ancient Tomb Park. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Hyundai Department Store Daegu and Miryang City Museum. Take a break from Daegu with a short trip to Hwawangsan Mountain in Changnyeong-gun, about 1h 15 min away. There's more to do: admire nature's wide array of creatures at Alive Aquarium Daegu and stroll around Gukchaebosang Memorial Park.

For maps, reviews, where to stay, and tourist information, refer to the Daegu trip maker site.

If you are flying in from Philippines, the closest major aiports are Daegu Airport, Gimhae International Airport and Cheongju International Airport/Cheongju Air Base (K-59/G-513). In April, daily temperatures in Daegu can reach 24°C, while at night they dip to 10°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Sat) so you can travel back home.
