Trails of Legends and Adventures

The center of Cherokee culture in the eastern part of the country, the town named after this Native American tribe serves as a base camp for hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Get out of town with these interesting Cherokee side-trips: Dry Falls (in Highlands), Clingmans Dome (in Great Smoky Mountains National Park) and Hartford (Bootleggers Distillery, River Rafting & Tubing, &more). The adventure continues: try your luck at Casino at Harrah’s Cherokee, see the interesting displays at Museum of the Cherokee Indian, take in the dramatic scenery at Mingo Falls, and pause for some photo ops at Rockefeller Memorial.

To find reviews, where to stay, ratings, and more tourist information, go to the Cherokee journey site.

In June in Cherokee, expect temperatures between 81°F during the day and 59°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Thu) so you can travel back home.
