Capitol Reef National Park

— 2 nights
Capitol Reef National Park takes its name from a particularly rugged and scenic section of the Waterpocket Fold, a geologic "wrinkle" stretching for 160 km (100 mi) along a dry plateau surrounded by white Navajo sandstone cliffs and domes, and red canyons, buttes, and rock bridges.
Step out of Capitol Reef National Park to go to Hanksville and see Hollow Mountain, which is approximately 52 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: stroll through Nature & Parks, admire the landmark architecture of Fruita Schoolhouse, make a trip to Fremont Petroglyphs, and trek along Grand Wash Trail.

Expect a daytime high around 47°F in November, and nighttime lows around 18°F.
