Belmullet or Béal an Mhuirthead is a coastal Gaeltacht town with a population of around 1,000 on the Mullet Peninsula in the barony of Erris, County Mayo, Ireland. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at The Achill Experience and Lake Lannagh Hiking Trails. Venture out of the city with trips to St. Muredach's Cathedral (in Ballina), Bike and Boards (in Castlebar) and Admiral Brown Centre (in Foxford). There's much more to do: savor the flavors at McLoughlins Bar, kick back and relax at Mulranny Strand, play a few rounds at Carne Golf Links, and get engrossed in the history at Achill Heritage Centre.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major airports are Dublin Airport, Shannon Airport and Cork Airport. Expect a daytime high around 19°C in August, and nighttime lows around 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 31st (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
