Asan is a city in South Chungcheong Province, South Korea. Venture out of the city with trips to Gongju (Muryeong Wangreung Exhibition Hall, Gongsanseong, &more) and Buyeo-gun (Busosanseong Fortress & Buyeo Jeongnimsaji Temple). There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Hyeonchungsa Shrine, cool off at Spavis, and visit Oeam Folk Village.

To see photos, traveler tips, maps, and other tourist information, refer to the Asan holiday planner.

Seoul to Asan is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or take a subway. When traveling from Seoul in September, plan for somewhat warmer days and a bit cooler nights in Asan: temperatures range from 30°C by day to 18°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 2nd (Fri) to allow time to travel to Pyeongtaek.
