Valladolid

— 28 nights

Land of Castles

A city of booming industry with a strong emphasis on leisure and cultural involvement, Valladolid is also known for its historical heritage and medieval feel.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Alcazar of Segovia and The Walls of Avila. Head to El Motin Del Te and Pasaje Gutierrezfor plenty of shopping. Change things up with these side-trips from Valladolid: Salamanca (Filmoteca de Castilla y Leon, Salamanca Central Market, &more), Segovia (Old City, Monasterio Sta. Maria del Parral, &more) and Curiel de Duero (Bodegas Legaris & Bodegas Comenge). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Museo Nacional de Escultura, admire the masterpieces at Fundacion Alberto Jimenez-Arellano Alonso, contemplate the long history of Plaza Mayor de Valladolid, and learn about winemaking at Bodegas Y Vinedos PradoRey.

In June, plan for daily highs up to 29°C, and evening lows to 11°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 15th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
